Job Overview: Mil Mujeres Legal Services is currently seeking a dedicated City Representative to join our team in Sacramento. This part-time role (20 hours per week) is ideal for individuals with strong outreach skills, a passion for community engagement, and a commitment to supporting survivors of violence. You will be instrumental in building relationships, raising awareness about our services, and representing our organization within the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement:
- Lead and organize Mil Mujeres’ participation in local events, community fairs, and activities.
- Represent Mil Mujeres at weekly consulate meetings, delivering «Know Your Rights» presentations, conducting surveys, and providing direct assistance to community members.
- Outreach & Collaboration:
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local agencies, consulates, and organizations.
- Conduct presentations to increase community awareness and support for our mission.
- Administrative Duties:
- Oversee office operations, including filing, typing, copying, scanning, and mail handling.
- Ensure effective communication within the organization and with external partners.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in office administration preferred.
- Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a related role.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Gmail, and Microsoft Office.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $16,640 annually for 20 hours per week.
