Mil Mujeres Legal Services is a multistate nonprofit organization dedicated to providing immigration legal services to low-income survivors of violent crimes and their families. Our primary focus is assisting survivors of gender-based violence, ensuring they receive legal representation and support to navigate the immigration system effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Experienced in managing humanitarian immigration cases, especially U visa and VAWA applications.
- Skilled in assessing legal eligibility and providing client-centered immigration counseling.
- Proficient in maintaining organized case files using case management systems.
- Collaborates with paralegals and legal teams to resolve case-related issues.
- Stays up to date on immigration law and policy changes, with a focus on humanitarian relief.
- Interested in learning and gaining experience in court representation and asylum cases (affirmative and defensive).
Qualifications
Education & Licensing
- Required: Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Preferred: Membership in good standing in the bar of any state.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in immigration law, particularly in asylum cases or court cases.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

Compensation
- Annual Salary: $65,000
